How many people can be seated at Chateau les Oliviers de Salette?

At Château des Oliviers de Salettes, indoor wedding seating is ideally suited for up to 80 guests, while remaining flexible to accommodate up to 110 guests if needed.

For larger celebrations, the estate offers beautiful outdoor options, including panoramic terraces that can host up to 200 guests, as well as a spacious 15 x 60 m garden with marquee access. Surrounded by century-old pine trees, these spaces allow for elegant and adaptable event layouts in a truly natural setting.

A tent is not required for indoor celebrations of up to 80 guests. However, for outdoor receptions or larger weddings, a marquee can be installed in the garden to accommodate additional guests and provide weather protection if needed.

Catering at the château is exclusively provided in-house by the property’s culinary team, and external caterers are not permitted.

The château’s restaurant holds one Michelin star, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for weddings of any size. Whether for an intimate gathering or a larger celebration, the menus are thoughtfully crafted to reflect both the season and the refined gastronomic identity of the venue.

Dancing at Château des Oliviers de Salettes is permitted until 3:00 AM on the terrace, while celebrations indoors within the château can continue without time restriction, allowing you to extend the festivities late into the night.

Yes, Château des Oliviers de Salettes offers 32 rooms and suites, accommodating up to 80 guests on-site, allowing your closest family and friends to stay together throughout the celebration.

The château also features a spectacular 150 m² honeymoon suite, located at the top of the castle towers, complete with a private 40 m² terrace overlooking the Provençal countryside – an unforgettable retreat for the newlyweds.

The most popular months are May through September, with warm days, golden light, and lavender or sunflower fields in bloom depending on the season. June and September are especially ideal for their balance of sunshine and more moderate temperatures, while July and August offer peak summer vibes and long evenings under the stars.

Charols is easily accessible from Lyon–Saint Exupéry Airport (approximately 1 hour 45 minutes by car) and Marseille Provence Airport (approximately 2 hours by car).

From either airport, guests can reach Charols by private transfer or rental car, enjoying a scenic drive through the rolling landscapes of the Drôme Provençale.

It is recommended to book Chateau les Oliviers de Salette 12 to 18 months in advance, particularly for weddings planned during the spring and early summer months, with peak demand in May, June, and July. Couples considering fall or winter dates may benefit from greater availability and more flexible booking conditions.

To marry legally in France, at least one partner must be a resident and registered at the local Mairie prior to the wedding. Some churches may conduct religious ceremonies for international couples without civil registration. As a result, most couples complete the legal formalities in their home country and choose a symbolic ceremony in France, allowing them to focus fully on the celebration without legal constraints.

Introducing Monica: Originally from the US she came to France as a student and basically never left! Leaving the concrete jungle of Southern California for the stunning French Alps, she has carved out a lifestyle and career fueled by passion for people and memorable experiences.

 

Celebrating 15 glorious years of transforming dreams into cherished ‘I dos,’ Monica is our foundational pillar of passion, dedication, and countless unforgettable stories. But beyond her prowess in orchestrating perfect moments, she’s an adventurer at heart. Monica thrives on the thrill of road cycling, feels the wind beneath her while skateboarding, catches waves surfing in Morocco (often alongside Anna), and takes to cross-country skiing during winter’s embrace.
