FAQ

How many people can be seated at Le Chacha?

Le Chacha can accommodate up to 117 guests for a seated dinner, including a vendors’ table, in its main restaurant space. However, we recommend a maximum of 97 guests to ensure there is enough room for dancing and a comfortable flow throughout the evening.

No tent is required. Le Chacha is an indoor venue with no outdoor event space, making it ideal for dinner receptions regardless of weather conditions.

Catering is provided in-house, as Le Chacha operates as a restaurant. The venue’s culinary team prepares the dinner service on site, offering high-quality, delicious cuisine that is a true highlight of the experience.

Music and dancing are permitted until 4:00 AM, allowing couples and their guests to enjoy a lively celebration late into the night.

There is no accommodation directly on site, but Le Chacha is located in the very center of Megève, within walking distance of many hotels and chalets, so transportation is typically not required.

The best time to get married in Megève depends on the atmosphere you envision. Spring and summer weddings from May to the end of September are ideal for outdoor ceremonies, with long daylight hours, alpine landscapes, and pleasant temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C. Winter weddings from mid-December to early April offer a magical snowy setting and a true alpine ambiance, with colder temperatures typically between -10°C and 10°C.

To marry legally in France, at least one partner must be a resident and registered at the local Mairie prior to the wedding. Some churches may conduct religious ceremonies for international couples without civil registration. As a result, most couples complete the legal formalities in their home country and choose a symbolic ceremony in France, allowing them to focus fully on the celebration without legal constraints.

It is recommended to book 12 to 18 months in advance, particularly for weddings planned during peak seasons in Megève (summer and winter). As the venue hosts only a limited number of weddings each year, it remains a highly exclusive location, and availability can be very limited.

The closest major airport to Megève is Geneva International Airport (GVA), located approximately 1 hour by car. Well connected to major international cities, Geneva Airport is the most convenient arrival point for guests traveling from abroad. From the airport, private transfers, taxis, or rental cars provide easy access to Megève, with a scenic drive through the French Alps.

Our Approach To Planning A French alps Wedding

Every wedding we design in the French Alps begins with listening. In a mountain setting, true luxury is found in balance, between nature and comfort, structure and freedom, elegance and authenticity. Our role is to create celebrations that feel immersive, fluid, and grounded in their surroundings.

Our planning approach is:

  • Bespoke – each celebration is designed from the ground up, never replicated

  • Landscape-led – the mountains, season, and altitude shape the rhythm and experience

  • Refined yet meaningful – understated aesthetics rooted in your story and the setting

  • Discreet and steady – so you can stay present and fully enjoy the journey

Whether you are planning an intimate mountain elopement or a multi-day celebration in a luxury chalet or alpine estate, we guide you through every step with clarity, care, and a deep understanding of the region.
