For open-air celebrations, up to 120 guests can be seated outdoors in the pool garden area, allowing for an unforgettable al fresco dinner beneath the Provençal sky. With its elevated terraces and sweeping mountain vistas, the Bastide provides a seamless blend of sophistication and authenticity, ensuring a celebration that feels both intimate and extraordinary.

A tent is not required at La Bastide de Gordes, as the panoramic terraces and pool garden provide a stunning open-air setting for up to 120 guests. From sunset cocktails overlooking the Luberon Valley to an elegant dinner beneath the Provençal sky, the atmosphere is naturally breathtaking.

In case of inclement weather, the indoor reception spaces can accommodate up to 120 guests, offering an equally refined alternative without the need for a marquee.

No external caterer is required at La Bastide de Gordes. All wedding catering is provided in-house by the hotel’s culinary team. The chef and restaurant staff ensure a refined gastronomic experience showcasing seasonal Provençal ingredients, allowing for an elevated celebration within the property.

Dancing at La Bastide de Gordes is permitted until 4:00 AM and takes place indoors.

La Bastide de Gordes offers on-site accommodation with 34 rooms and 6 suites, many featuring private terraces and panoramic views over the Luberon Valley. The most popular months are May through September, when Provence is at its most beautiful, with warm days, golden light, and lavender or sunflower fields in bloom depending on the season. June and September are especially ideal for their balance of sunshine and more moderate temperatures, while July and August offer peak summer vibes and long evenings under the stars.

Gordes is easily accessible from Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport (approximately 2.5 hours by car) and Marseille Provence Airport (approximately 1.5 hours by car). From both airports, guests can reach Roussillon by private transfer or rental car, enjoying a scenic drive through Provence. 

It is recommended to book La Bastide de Gordes 12 to 18 months in advance, particularly for weddings planned during the spring and early summer months, with peak demand in May, June, and July. Couples considering fall or winter dates may benefit from greater availability and more flexible booking conditions.

To marry legally in France, at least one partner must be a resident and registered at the local Mairie prior to the wedding. Some churches may conduct religious ceremonies for international couples without civil registration. As a result, most couples complete the legal formalities in their home country and choose a symbolic ceremony in France, allowing them to focus fully on the celebration without legal constraints.

But he’s more than our in-house celebrant; he’s the visionary who launched Haute Pursuit, the heart of our operations. Introducing Monica: Originally from the US she came to France as a student and basically never left! Leaving the concrete jungle of Southern California for the stunning French Alps, she has carved out a lifestyle and career fueled by passion for people and memorable experiences.

 

Celebrating 15 glorious years of transforming dreams into cherished ‘I dos,’ Monica is our foundational pillar of passion, dedication, and countless unforgettable stories. But beyond her prowess in orchestrating perfect moments, she’s an adventurer at heart. Monica thrives on the thrill of road cycling, feels the wind beneath her while skateboarding, catches waves surfing in Morocco (often alongside Anna), and takes to cross-country skiing during winter’s embrace.
