About
Taylor & Parker’s Annecy Wedding
Location: Talloires
Couple: Taylor & Parker
Season: Summer
The Venue
For their wedding, Taylor & Parker chose the beautiful Abbaye de Talloires, set on the shores of Lake Annecy in the French Alps.
The American couple, from Denver, travelled across France in search of the perfect place to celebrate their wedding. After visiting different destinations and venues, they arrived in Talloires and fell in love with the village, the lake and the timeless character of the Abbaye.
Surrounded by mountains and overlooking the clear waters of Lake Annecy, the venue offered exactly what they had been looking for: a setting that felt elegant and romantic, while still relaxed and deeply connected to nature.
The Setting
Talloires has a very particular kind of magic. Sitting between the mountains and the shores of Lake Annecy, the village feels peaceful and intimate, despite being only a short distance from Annecy itself.
For Taylor & Parker, it became the perfect place to bring together 87 of their closest family members and friends from the United States and beyond.
Their celebrations were designed around spending time together and making the most of this extraordinary setting. Before the wedding day, guests gathered for a boat trip across Lake Annecy, all dressed in white – a beautiful way to welcome everyone to the destination and begin the celebrations surrounded by the landscape that had made the couple fall in love with Talloires.
The Ceremony
Taylor & Parker wanted their ceremony to feel personal, intimate and centred around the people they loved most.
Rather than a traditional ceremony layout, a round carpet was created for the couple, with their family and friends seated in a circle around them. The arrangement completely changed the feeling of the space: instead of guests simply watching from rows of chairs, everyone became part of the moment.
Making the ceremony even more meaningful, Taylor’s father was the celebrant.
With their loved ones surrounding them and the beauty of Talloires as their backdrop, the ceremony felt incredibly warm and personal – a reflection of Taylor & Parker themselves, a couple rarely seen without a smile.
The Reception
That same feeling of togetherness continued into dinner.
Rather than separating their 87 guests across numerous tables, Taylor & Parker chose just two long tables, allowing everyone to dine together. The layout created a wonderfully convivial atmosphere, with the celebration feeling more like one beautiful shared dinner between family and friends.
Set within the historic Abbaye de Talloires, the long tables brought everyone together while allowing the character of the venue and its surroundings to remain at the heart of the evening.
It was elegant without feeling overly formal – exactly the kind of celebration that suited Taylor & Parker’s warm and joyful personalities.
A Celebration of Love
Taylor & Parker’s wedding was a beautiful example of how finding the right venue can shape an entire celebration.
They had travelled across France looking for somewhere that felt right, and in Talloires they found much more than a beautiful backdrop. Between the mountains, the lake and the historic Abbaye, they discovered a place where they could create a wedding centred around what mattered most to them: their families, their friends and simply being together.
From a ceremony surrounded in a circle by their loved ones to one long, shared dinner for all guests, every element encouraged connection.
Warm, elegant and filled with smiles, their wedding at Abbaye de Talloires was a celebration that felt entirely their own.
