To marry legally in France, at least one partner must be a resident and registered at the local Mairie prior to the wedding. Some churches may conduct religious ceremonies for international couples without civil registration. As a result, most couples complete the legal formalities in their home country and choose a symbolic ceremony in France, allowing them to focus fully on the celebration without legal constraints.

It is recommended to book Chateau Saint-Martin 12 to 18 months in advance, especially for weddings planned between June and September, when demand is highest on the French Riviera. Couples considering spring or autumn dates may benefit from greater availability and more flexible booking options.
