Saint Jean Cap-Ferrat, French Riviera

Villa & Jardins Ephrussi de Rothschild : A Garden Wedding Dream

Nestled on the exclusive peninsula of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild is one of the French Riviera’s most iconic and romantic wedding venues. This stunning Belle Époque estate, surrounded by nine immaculate gardens and overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, offers a setting of unmatched beauty and grandeur for an unforgettable celebration.

A wedding at the Villa begins in the French Garden, the villa’s most majestic outdoor space, with its long reflecting pools, musical fountains, and perfectly manicured hedges. The Temple of Love, perched at the garden’s far end, creates a fairytale backdrop for exchanging vows, with sweeping sea views on either side. The ambiance is serene, luxurious, and undeniably magical.

Following the ceremony, guests can enjoy cocktail hour in one of the themed gardens ; such as the Spanish or Florentine garden , each with its own architectural charm, exotic plants, and intimate ambiance. As the sun sets over the Riviera, the villa takes on a warm pink hue, adding a dreamlike glow to the evening.

As night falls, the celebration continues with a reception in front of the villa’s grand façade or beneath a custom tented setup among the gardens. Long tables, twinkling lights, and candlelit details transform the space into a romantic open-air dining experience. The villa’s dramatic architecture and manicured surroundings create the perfect frame for a stylish and timeless celebration.

After dinner, the central courtyard or outdoor terrace becomes the stage for dancing under the stars. Whether accompanied by a live band or curated DJ set, the energy is intimate yet electric, elevated by the soft sea breeze and views of the villa illuminated against the night sky.

Every corner of Villa Ephrussi offers a cinematic moment, from the historic interiors to the lush gardens and panoramic coastal views. With exceptional beauty and refined charm, this venue is ideal for couples dreaming of a luxurious, artfully curated wedding experience on the French Riviera.

To marry legally in France, at least one partner must be a resident and registered at the local Mairie prior to the wedding. Some churches may conduct religious ceremonies for international couples without civil registration. As a result, most couples complete the legal formalities in their home country and choose a symbolic ceremony in France, allowing them to focus fully on the celebration without legal constraints.
