About
Mindy & Andrew’s Megève Wedding
Location: Megève
Couple: Mindy & Andrew
Season: Winter
The Venue
For their wedding, Mindy & Andrew chose the charming alpine village of Megève, a destination that had become one of their favourite places in the world. More than simply a ski resort, Megève offered everything they loved: breathtaking mountain scenery, exceptional restaurants, elegant hotels, and a vibrant après-ski atmosphere that reminded them of both Miami and Saint-Tropez.
Their wedding wasn’t centred around a single venue, but rather a collection of places that had become part of their story. After discovering Megève during a ski trip in 2024, they immediately knew they wanted to return with the people they loved most and share the magic of the French Alps.
The weekend unfolded across some of the village’s most iconic locations, creating a true alpine experience that reflected their personalities and their passion for skiing, travel, and unforgettable celebrations.
The Setting
Although Mindy & Andrew first met under the palm trees of Miami at Soho Beach House, their relationship has always been built around adventure.
From beach destinations to snowy mountain escapes, they quickly discovered a shared love for discovering the world together. Their engagement in Deer Valley only strengthened that connection, making an alpine wedding feel like the most natural next chapter.
Rather than planning a traditional destination wedding, they wanted to invite their closest family and friends into their world. Every location, every meal, and every celebration was carefully chosen because it held memories for them. Their vision was simple: create an elegant winter weekend where everyone could experience the places they loved most, while celebrating not only their marriage but also the lifestyle that had brought them together.
The Wedding Weekend
The celebrations began with welcome drinks at S Bar, one of the couple’s favourite après-ski spots, where guests gathered over spritzes, charcuterie, and cocktails in a relaxed atmosphere that immediately set the tone for the weekend.
The following day, everyone made their way to L’Idéal 1850, one of Megève’s most iconic mountain restaurants. Bathed in sunshine and surrounded by panoramic Alpine views, guests enjoyed a leisurely mountaintop lunch before the afternoon transformed into a lively après-ski party complete with a DJ, saxophonist, champagne, and dancing on the terrace. Skiing back down the mountain together afterwards became one of the couple’s favourite memories of the entire weekend.
The Ceremony
For the ceremony, Mindy & Andrew chose Le Relais des Fermes, where sweeping views across the snow-covered Alps created an unforgettable backdrop.
The setting felt intimate yet cinematic, allowing nature to take centre stage. Surrounded by family and friends who had travelled from around the world, they exchanged vows beneath crisp winter skies in an atmosphere filled with emotion, elegance, and genuine joy.
The simplicity of the ceremony allowed the spectacular mountain landscape to speak for itself, perfectly reflecting the couple’s desire for a celebration that felt authentic rather than overly formal.
The Decor
Inspired by the snowy landscape surrounding them, Mindy chose a floral design that complemented the mountains instead of competing with them.
Soft white flowers, delicate greenery, and natural textures highlighted the beauty of the French Alps while maintaining an understated elegance throughout the day. For the reception, long tables were adorned with white stemmed roses and countless candles, creating a warm glow that contrasted beautifully with the winter scenery outside.
Every decorative choice reflected the couple’s philosophy: refined, organic, and intentionally simple, allowing the surroundings to remain the true focal point.
Cocktail Hour and Reception
The celebrations continued at ChaCha, a venue that had always held a special place in the couple’s hearts.
Far more than a restaurant, ChaCha embodied the lively energy they wanted their guests to experience. Guests were welcomed with champagne before sitting down to a generous family-style dinner designed to encourage conversation, laughter, and togetherness. The multi-course menu celebrated indulgent mountain dining, with plenty of perfectly prepared steak as a tribute to the couple’s Oklahoma roots.
As the evening unfolded, the atmosphere naturally evolved from elegant dinner to vibrant celebration. Live musicians gave way to a DJ, the dance floor filled quickly, and the night became exactly what Mindy & Andrew had imagined: less like a traditional wedding reception and more like an unforgettable evening among lifelong friends.
Fashion & Style
Mindy’s bridal wardrobe perfectly reflected each chapter of the wedding weekend.
For the ceremony, she wore the “Melody” gown by Lihi Hod, an elegant and romantic design she knew was the one from the moment she tried it on. She paired it with Chanel combat boots, adding a modern edge that perfectly suited the alpine setting. Later in the evening, she changed into Natalia Romanova’s Deborah dress, designed for dancing, while the welcome party featured an ivory Rabanne gown paired with Jimmy Choo heels.
Andrew complemented her effortlessly in a custom Dormeuil velvet tuxedo featuring personalised embroidery of their wedding date inside the jacket – a thoughtful detail that echoed the engraving inside both of their wedding bands.
Together, their style perfectly captured the spirit of the weekend: sophisticated, contemporary, and unmistakably personal.
The After-Wedding Celebration
The festivities concluded with one final gathering at Chalet Sauvage, where everyone came together for a relaxed après-ski celebration.
After days filled with skiing, exceptional food, unforgettable parties, and heartfelt moments, it was the perfect opportunity to slow down, enjoy one last mountain lunch, and savour every remaining moment with the people who had travelled so far to celebrate with them.
It was the ideal ending to a wedding weekend built around experiences rather than tradition.
A Celebration of Love
Mindy & Andrew’s wedding was a beautiful reminder that the most memorable celebrations are often the ones that invite guests into a couple’s real life.
Rather than simply choosing a beautiful destination, they shared the places that had shaped their relationship – from the mountain where they loved to ski to the restaurants they returned to year after year. Every location, every experience, and every detail reflected who they are as a couple.
The result was far more than a wedding. It was an immersive journey through their favourite corner of the French Alps, where elegant mountain scenery met lively celebrations, exceptional hospitality, and genuine connection.
Elevated, vibrant, and unforgettable – exactly as they had always imagined.
