Emma & Soliman: A Winter Wedding in Megève

Elegant. Exuberant. Unforgettable.

In the heart of the French Alps, beneath the snow-dusted peaks of Mont Blanc, Emma and Soliman celebrated their love with a wedding that was as vibrant and graceful as their own story. This three-day celebration brought together their Egyptian, Ecuadorian, and French heritage in an unforgettable union, set against the stunning backdrop of Megève—a place close to the bride’s heart, where she grew up skiing its legendary slopes.

The Setting: Megève

Megève is more than just a ski resort; it’s a luxurious alpine paradise, where old-world charm meets refined elegance. With its cobbled streets, horse-drawn carriages, and chic chalet-style architecture, it’s a town that feels like a living fairy tale. Surrounded by the pristine powder of Mont Blanc, this magical setting was the perfect choice for Emma and Soliman’s winter wedding.

The Celebration Day One: Ceremony & Dancing

The wedding took place at the recently renovated Hibou d'Arbois, an exquisite altitude restaurant nestled at the base of the slopes in Megève. With its high wooden beams, cozy ambiance, and panoramic views, it was the perfect venue to blend alpine charm with luxurious sophistication.

The weather was nothing short of magical: after a rainy morning, snowflakes began to fall just before the ceremony, and the sun emerged, casting a golden glow on the moment the couple exchanged their vows on the terrace. Surrounded by the towering mountains, their Catholic blessing was made even more special as a few skiers whizzed by in the background.

Emma’s nephews proudly served as the ring bearers, and as the couple sealed their vows, cigars were lit in celebration. The day was just beginning.

Guests then enjoyed a slopeside cocktail hour on the terrace, where roaming troubadours added a lively touch to the atmosphere. Champagne, caviar, and cigars were passed around as the crowd danced, laughing under the crisp winter sky.

The groom had warned us: “Our guests will dance more than they eat.” And he wasn’t joking.

From 4 PM to 1 AM, the dance floor never emptied. The guests—dressed in dazzling sequins, tuxedos, furs, and gleaming jewelry—didn’t hold back. As they swayed to beats spun by an Egyptian DJ, the energy was infectious, and the music never stopped.

Rather than a traditional sit-down dinner, Emma and Soliman chose a buffet-style meal so the celebration could continue uninterrupted. The food was impeccable, featuring local specialties like truffle-infused dishes and cheeses that added to the authenticity of the experience. A variety of delicious options kept the guests fueled for hours of dancing.

Tear-jerking speeches by both the groom and the father of the bride moved everyone in attendance. Not a dry eye in the house as heartfelt words were shared, and the love between Emma and Soliman was felt by all.

Day Two: Après-Ski Party on the Mountain

The celebration continued the following day with an unforgettable après-ski party. Guests took a scenic cable car ride up the mountain for a stylish gathering under the alpine skies. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as the music continued, with a DJ and saxophonist setting the tone for a fashionable, chic party.

As cigars burned and guests flaunted their furs, the dancing resumed in full force. The energy was boundless as the celebration stretched into the night.

The Style: A Fusion of Elegance and Culture

This wedding was a perfect blend of cultures: Egyptian, Ecuadorian, and French influences were evident throughout—from the stunning outfits to the global music choices, to the exquisite food and décor. Emma and Soliman’s wedding was a true celebration of love that transcended borders.

The venue was adorned with greenery, pinecones, and candles, adding a natural touch to the elegant alpine atmosphere. The high-ceilinged venue, with its wooden beams and inviting warmth, provided the perfect backdrop for a winter wedding that was both cozy and chic.

A Flawless Celebration

With 150 guests, the logistics of the event were flawlessly executed. The details, from the stylish decor to the impeccable timing, were handled to perfection. Every moment of the celebration was a reflection of Emma and Soliman’s passion for life and their love for each other.

This was more than just a wedding—it was a weekend filled with joy, laughter, and memories. It was a celebration that began with love, and continued through music, culture, and the beauty of the French Alps.
