Mandelieu-la-Napoule, French Riviera

Château de la Napoule

A rare gem on the French Riviera, Château de la Napoule sits gracefully at the water’s edge, overlooking a peaceful bay with sweeping views of the Mediterranean. With origins dating back over 2,000 years, the site has evolved from a Roman outpost to a medieval fortress, before being reimagined in the early 20th century by an American couple as a vibrant cultural retreat. Today, its rich history and distinctive architecture create a setting that is both timeless and deeply atmospheric.

The estate offers a great flow of spaces, allowing each moment of the celebration to unfold in a new and inspiring setting. From a ceremony by the sea to a sunset cocktail in the gardens, followed by an elegant dinner in the courtyard and dancing within the castle walls, every part of the experience feels curated and immersive. In case of inclement weather, beautiful vaulted reception rooms provide an equally enchanting indoor alternative, ensuring a refined celebration.

Château de la Napoule offers generous capacity across its different spaces, allowing for both large-scale celebrations and more intimate gatherings.

Château de la Napoule does not offer in-house catering. However, all catering services must be selected from a curated list of approved and trusted partners referenced by the venue.

The best time to get married in Mandelieu-la-Napoule is from May to September.

Late spring and early summer (May-June) offer warm temperatures, lush gardens, and beautiful light, while September is ideal for couples seeking fewer crowds and soft, golden evenings. July and August are perfect for guaranteed sunshine and sea views, though they are the busiest months.

Château de la Napoule does not offer on-site accommodation. However, the venue is ideally located in a charming coastal village, with a selection of lovely hotels within walking distance.

This allows guests to fully enjoy the celebration while staying nearby in a relaxed and picturesque setting.

The destination is also well connected by train and bus from Nice, with links to major cities across France and Italy.

To marry legally in France, at least one partner must be a resident and registered at the local Mairie prior to the wedding. Some churches may conduct religious ceremonies for international couples without civil registration. As a result, most couples complete the legal formalities in their home country and choose a symbolic ceremony in France, allowing them to focus fully on the celebration without legal constraints.
